Aniya Bailey is a young passionate adult who is focused on Black liberation and changing systems through education reform and youth advocacy. As a recent high school graduate, she has lived through the many flaws in our education system and wants to work toward changing them. She believes the most fundamental way to create change is through centering youth voices and global citizenship. She has been an employee of Thrive Ed since summer 2019 and was a part of the founding student intern team. She is a change agent who deeply believes in the power of co-design and restorative communities in changing the face of education. Aniya also works for the Irreducible Grace Foundation at the Black Youth Healing Arts Center and supports the learning and mastering of self regulation with the tools for Black youth.
